Please read these Terms of Service (“Terms”) carefully before using Reader AI (accessible at https://readerai.edgarodey.com), created and maintained by Edgar Odey (“we”, “us”, or “our”).
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using Reader AI, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree to these Terms, you may not use the application or services.
2. Mandatory User Accounts & Access
Reader AI requires every user to authenticate with a valid account (via Google OAuth 2.0) before accessing application features. You agree that:
- You are responsible for safeguarding your account credentials.
- You will not share your authenticated session or attempt to bypass authentication mechanisms.
- We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate fair use guidelines or attempt to exploit GPU inference services.
3. AI Speech Services & Fair Use
Reader AI provides intelligent text-to-speech narration, document parsing (PDF, EPUB, Word, PowerPoint, OCR), and cross-device reading synchronization. AI voice models (powered by Kokoro-82M) execute directly on your local device.
You agree to use AI voice synthesis solely for personal, study, and educational listening purposes. Automated scraping, batch bulk audio harvesting, or reverse engineering of backend inference endpoints is strictly prohibited.
4. User Content & Intellectual Property Ownership
Your Documents: You retain complete ownership, copyright, and intellectual property rights over any documents, course handouts, or books you upload into Reader AI. We do not claim any ownership over your files.
Lawful Access: You warrant that you have lawful rights and permissions to read and process the materials you load into Reader AI.
Reader AI Platform IP: The Reader AI application, software code, user interface, brand assets, logos, and proprietary integrations are the exclusive intellectual property of Edgar Odey. All rights reserved.
5. Service Availability & Proprietary Rights
Reader AI is a proprietary software application and AI service. Commercial reproduction, redistribution, re-branding for sale, or reverse compilation of the Reader AI service is strictly prohibited without prior written authorization from Edgar Odey.
6. Disclaimer of Warranties & Limitation of Liability
READER AI IS PROVIDED ON AN “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, OCR ACCURACY, OR CONTINUOUS UNINTERRUPTED AI VOICE GENERATION. IN NO EVENT SHALL EDGAR ODEY OR AFFILIATES BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF THE USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THIS APPLICATION.
